The Fading Memory Of Hazara Community

Dambora: The embodiment of suffering, resistance and identities of Hazaras of Quetta, Through this documentary we attempt to cast light on the social relationship Hazaras of Quetta have established with the musical instrument called "Dambora". Although Dambora is widely played in central Asia, It is being recognized as Hazargi musical Instrument. Historically a marginalised ethnic and religious group, Hazaras have used dambora to demonstrate their sufferings, protests and resistance to the oppressive rulers. Nowadays Hazara still utilize Dambora as a way to reflect their cultural values and Identity.
